CAgroup (formerly Consolidated Alloys) origins date back to the 1930’s as a base metal smelter and refiner based in Melbourne, Australia. Acquired in 1970 by Amalgamated Metal Corporation PLC (AMC) it remains a 100% subsidiary of this business until today.
CAgroup has grown to become a diversified manufacturing and distribution company with sales and distribution centres across Australia and New Zealand. We sell into four distinct market sectors, building & plumbing products to a broad range of merchant outlets, tin & lead based products to industrial markets, electro-winning anodes to the mining industry and traded non-ferrous metal products.
Our manufacturing site and Head Office is located at Thomastown in Melbourne. We warehouse and sell a full range of products through our own distribution centres in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. Over 2,500 products are sold to over 4,000 customers across Australia, New Zealand and around the world. We pride ourselves on our high product quality, short lead times and the highest levels of customer service.
Our key strengths include low-cost operations, strong brands which are synonymous with high product quality and an extensive and efficient distribution network around Australia and New Zealand. Product development and quality control are supported by our modern in-house laboratory.
In addition to products manufactured by us in Australia, we also distribute product for a range of leading quality manufacturers from around the world including zinc products for Nyrstar Metals, silicone sealants for Admil, heavy metal hygiene products from Esca Tech Inc. and waterproofing products for Duram.
